tangled vines recall
memories of sweeter times
gold and purple blooms
bittersweet—not sugar—brings
dreams to heal a broken heart

A sachet of dried bittersweet (woody nightshade, or Solanum dulcamara) leaves and berries placed beneath one's pillow is said to heal a broken heart.
